METRO NY BALLOON & MUSIC FESTIVAL BRINGS 1ST OUTDOOR
MONSTER TRUCK RALLY TO LI IN CLOSE TO A DECADE

On August 10th, 11th and 12th the Metro NY Balloon & Music Festival will feature two Metro Monster Truck Rally shows daily. The Monster Truck Rally is the first event of this kind to take place on Long Island in nearly a decade. These metal-machines truly live up to their names as monsters, crushing everything in their path in a deafening roar. This show is sure to thrill kids, families and motor sports enthusiasts alike. GunSlinger, Cowboy, Nitemare, and WagWagon are only a few of the 1,500-horsepower superstars competing.

The Monster Truck Rally is part of the Metro NY Balloon & Music Festival at Calabro Airport in Brookhaven. Sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven and produced by RE/MAX of New York, Inc., this spectacular weekend-long event will deliver a summer’s worth of entertainment and activities for people of all ages.

The Metro NY Balloon & Music Festival will feature more than fifty premier hot air balloons from all across the United States, including many spectacular "shaped," corporate, and sport balloons. Festival visitors will be able to enjoy “bagels and balloons” during the early-morning ascensions, and “BBQ and balloons” during the breath-taking early-evening glows and ascensions. The Festival will also include performances from Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, with special guests Senses Fail and Head Automatica (Friday, August 10th), co-headliners Big Head Todd & The Monsters and Kenny Wayne Shepherd (Saturday, August 11th) and Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo with special guest Lennon (Sunday, August 12th). Friday and Saturday performances will be followed Grucci Fireworks Finales.

Beyond the excitement of the Hot Air Balloons and Top-Name Music, the Festival will also include a Garcia Bros. bilingual big top circus, a Newton Amusements carnival midway, a mega home improvement pavilion, a golf, ski & vacation expo, arts & crafts gallery, automotive & motorcycle showcases, metro monster truck rally, BMX, skate and moto-cross teams, rides (tethered & fly away), RE/MAX Sky Diving Team, the Human Balloon Feat, Grucci Fireworks, NY Festival Food Court & Kiosks.

Tickets are available through the Metro NY Balloon & Music Festival's online box office metronyballoonfest.com and at ticket outlets, including select RE/MAX of New York offices, Curves locations, and other locations specifically listed on the festival website. Special VIP “Party Like A Rock Star” festival packages and group-rates will also be available.

Admission policies and hours of operation will be as follows:

• Advance General Admission: $20 (Adults), $12 (Ages 5-11), FREE for Children 4 & Under.
• Friday, August 10th - Open: 11am-11pm – Reserved Concert Seating: $50
• Saturday, August 11th - Open: 6am-11pm – Reserved Concert Seating: $50
• Sunday, August 12th - Open: 6am-8pm – Reserved Concert Seating: $65
• *Reserved concert seating includes general admission.

Balloon Rides: Fly-Away and Tethered Balloon Rides will be available at the festival.
Balloon rides are wind & weather permitting

Reserved Hot Air Balloon rides - $215.00 per person (includes general admission ticket)
Tickets are available through the website www.metronyballoonfest.com.

Tethered Balloon rides - $15.00 per person
Tickets will be available for “day-of” purchase.
